WA: Casino slaps writ on Malaysian high roller

Burswood casino in Perth is taking legal action to recover $2 million which it claims
is owed after cheques issued by a Malaysian high roller bounced.

Burswood filed a writ in the West Australian Supreme Court late last month, alleging
CHEE HUA SNG, a businessman, used a cheque-cashing facility at the casino to buy $2 million
worth of chips.

The cheques he used to pay for those chips bounced when the casino presented them to
his Malaysian bank.

According to the writ, Mr SNG had an approved limit of $300,000 from July 3, 1994.
