NSW: Teenager to face court over police officer's stabbing
A teenager will face a western Sydney court today charged with armed robbery and stabbingof an off-duty police officer.
Police say three men entered a business in Windsor Street, Richmond, about 10pm onSaturday, June 8 and threatened staff.
The 29-year-old off-duty police officer and his brother responded to cries for helpand the police officer suffered a 3cm cut to the head and a stab wound to the back inthe ensuing struggle.
An 18-year-old man from Blacktown was arrested late yesterday afternoon and chargedwith aggravated robbery, robbery in company causing wounding and two counts of robberyarmed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
