NSW: City braces for peak hour bedlam after gas leak=2

Supt Krimmer said the location of the gas leak was still unknown, but odour readings
had suggested the amount of gas in the rail tunnel was decreasing rapidly.

"We're currently in the process of allowing an empty train to go through the tunnel
to move some air through it and then we'll take further readings.

"If the readings continue to be negligible then we'll reopen the railway as soon as possible."

The leak is thought to be either natural gas or LPG, Supt Krimmer said.
