NSW: Police officer remains critical
A police officer remains in a critical condition in a Sydney hospital almost a weekafter being shot in the head and chest.
Friends and family have continued a bedside vigil at the Prince of Wales Hospital forSenior Constable GLENN MCENALLAY.
He was shot in the head and chest on Wednesday night in Hillsdale in Sydney's eastafter a routine stolen car check.
The 26-year-old was travelling alone in his highway patrol car when he was fired upon.
Three men faced court over the shooting last Thursday, all charged with intent to murderSnr Const MCENALLAY.
MONTEKIAI TAUFAHEMA, aged 25, JOHN TAUFAHEMA, 24, and 23-year-old SIONE PENISINI wererefused bail and will face court again on April 4.
Police are still searching for a fourth man believed to be involved in the shooting.
