NSW: Helicopter escapee s car found in northern suburb

Police have recovered a blue Mitsubishi Sigma stationwagon believed to have been used in
the getaway of escaped bank robber JOHN KILLICK and his girlfriend LUCY DUDKO.

DUDKO hijacked a helicopter and forced its pilot at gunpoint to pluck KILLICK from the
sports oval at Sydney's Silverwater jail last Thursday morning.

Police found the car this morning outside a house in the northern suburb of Roseville,
after a tip-off.

Forensic scientists are combing the vehicle for clues, while officers are canvassing
residents in the street.

Speculation has been rife that the couple escaped Sydney by boat after making their way to
the northern Sydney suburb of Terrey Hills.

But police say they could simply be lying low.
